Marty's Dream

Marty is a lovely 13 year-old boy...

He is loving, kind, and seldom gets angry...

He loves sports, is good at computers, knows many English words...

And...

MARTY has a dream

A big dream...

Something he has been longing for for a very long time...

Something very dear to his heart...

What would a 13 year-old boy long for and dream about?

A bicycle?

A new video game?

Getting his learners permit and drivers license in a few years?
These are common dreams for boys...

But they are not Marty's primary dream...

No, Marty has a dream that many boys wouldn't think of...

Not because it is odd...

But because it is so very basic...

Something that most young boys take for granted...

Something they have always had and have never been without!

What is Marty's dream?

Marty dreams of having his very own family!

A Mom and Dad who love him...

Treasure him...

Are proud of his accomplishments...

Tell him what a great kid he is and how much they love him!

I'm not certain what happened...

But Marty was found abandoned as a baby...

ABANDONED...

Likely because of his hydrocephalus (which has been treated and gives him no problems now!)

Family provides a sense of security...

Of permanence...

Of belonging...

It gives you your place in the world - especially in childhood...

But Marty is missing out on this basic, yet very important aspect of life...

But he hopes and dreams that this will change!

Marty has a Foster brother, Gary, that he loves dearly...

He hopes that they can both be adopted by the same family so they can be forever brothers!

When a staff interviewed him and Gary, Marty said...

"“This is the third time you have come here to meet with us… Why don’t we have a family yet?”

Marty DESPERATELY wants a family that will be his FOREVER!

Sweet Marty knows it might not happen, but instead of being bitter and angry he said to someone who interviewed him...

“but if you can’t find me a family it will be OK because in the future I will be able to help other children find forever homes.”

Sweet, sweet boy!

He's already thinking of how he can help other children have a better life than he has had!

But Marty's dream CAN become a reality...

If a family is found in time!

According to the rules of his country Marty must be adopted before he turns 14 in November 2015...

That means his family must be found quickly so they have time to complete adoption process before it is forever too late!

Do you know Marty's family?

It could be your friend or neighbor...

It could be someone at your church...

Or someone you meet at the grocery store...

Or one of your Facebook friends...

Can you share Marty's story?

Or maybe...

Is it possible...

That Marty could even be...

YOUR SON?

Please help Marty's dream come true in whatever way you can...

I hope and pray your family sees you...

And makes your dream come true!
