So MINOR!

My special needs are minor...

So very VERY minor!!!!

What might they be you ask?

Three...

Missing...

TOES!

Now what could be scary about that?

I can walk and run...

And do most ANYTHING!

I don't let them slow me down!

Other than this I've had a rough life...

I've been moved around SOO much!

For a few months my life was happy...

That's when I was a baby...

'Cause I lived with my Mom and Dad!

But when I was just a few months old I went to live in an orphanage :(

No matter how kind the nanny's were...

It wasn't the same as being home!

But then, oh joy...

When I was 2 I got to go back home!

But my joy only lasted 7 or 8 months...

Then back to the orphanage I went...

And after awhile I was moved again...

To a place for older kids.

When I was 6 or 7 I got a special treat!

My grandpa came to visit me!

He kept coming back for more than a year...

But good things just don't last I guess...

Cause he doesn't come anymore :(

I've had yet another move since then...

And this one was kind of good...

I now get to live in a "family style" place...

A small home for kids like me who don't have a place of their own.

They say I'm doing much better here!

It's so much better than being crowded into a large orphanage!

But no place is truly like home to me...

Without a Mom and Dad of my own!

*****

As you can imagine this moving around has been rather tough on me!

Although I'm going to school right now...

I've not had a chance to learn all the things most boys my age should know...

I'm a little delayed from the orphanage and all the moving around...

But I have so much potential if I just get a chance...

To receive the love and care and individualized attention...

That only a family can give!

*****

Oh how I long to be home once for all...

And be done with the moving around!

I long to be loved...

And to finally find...

That forever home of my own!

A place where I will always belong...

Where I'll have a Mom and a Dad that will make me FOREVER their son!

I'm already almost 10 years old...

But don't let that scare you off!

I still need a Mom and Dad!

Please, please consider me!

Two special sisters are waiting for you!

Two precious girls...

Sisters...

Only one year and five days apart in age!

What best buddies they must be!

Two special sisters...

Sadly deserted...

Consigned to an orphanage....

Wards of the state...

Waiting...

Waiting...

Waiting!

Will they ever have a Mom and Dad to call their own?

A cute little room to share?

Matching bedspreads or matching dresses?

Will they ever enjoy a trip to the zoo...

A day at the beach...

Or even a picnic at the park?

It depends....

If one couple will stop and consider....

If one Mom and Dad will ponder and pray...

Then choose to step out in faith...

To make these dear girls their own...

Then, then they can begin to experience the small joys of life...

That they have been missing so long!

And the biggest, most important blessing...

The one their hearts need the most...

The security and peace of knowing...

That they are forever loved!

*****

Two birthdays coming up in November...

They'll be turning 7 and 8

Oh wouldn't it be the best gift of all...

If a family could choose them by then?

If this up-coming birthday...

Could be the LAST they spend alone?

Could it be possible...

Even remotely possible...

That they could be your daughters?

Or the daughters of someone you know?

Please share and please pray...

That one day VERY soon these dear little girls will be home!

Where they'll be safe and protected and cherished for ...

And never be lacking for love!

Bonus!!!

Here is a new picture of one of the girls!

We need out of here!

Laying down...

Always laying down...

Sweet Janna spends her days in bed...

Day after day after day!

What a miserable and boring life...

Yet she still has a sweet look on her face!

One day not so long ago...

A bright spot came into Janna's room!

A Mama and Papa came for one of her roommates...

Valentine!

(He's doing so well at home now!)

Valentine's Mama gave Janna kind words and gentle touch...

And Janna loved it and soaked it right up!

Oh how she would love to have a Mama of her own!

Oh how she would love to receive gentle hugs and snuggles from a family of her own!

The opportunity to get out of that bed and see the world around her!

Sweet Janna is still waiting but now she has a louder voice!

Because Valentine's Mama has told us more about her...

And posted pictures too!

Want to see?

*****

I'm still waiting Mama....

Won't you come?

I have just one toy to play with while I wait...

Please come soon!

I have two roommates who are waiting too!

This is Stellan - see how wet he is?

They don't have time to change us often so we lie wet for hours and hours...

It is most unpleasant!

Stellan would so love to get out of his bed!

So he puts his legs between the bars!

Stellan did get lucky...

He was allowed out of bed for a program for a little while!

Here's his Reece's Rainbow picture...

Lying in bed as usual :(

My other roommate is Travis...

He lies so still covered with his blanket...

Here is his Reece's Rainbow picture...

He needs a Mama too!

Please read what Valentine's Mama said about me and my roommates!

She met us in person...

She saw our plight...

And has given us a voice!

Below is a link to her blog!

Please note that all three of us are now available for adoption (including Stellan!)...

Here are the links to our Reece's Ranbow profiles...

Her future is in the balance...

A beautiful 16 year-old girl with so much potential....

She is has no diagnosed special needs or behavioral issues and has been going to school...

What might her future be?

She could be a nurse  bringing comfort and help to the sick...

She could be a teacher and inspire children with the joy of learning...

She could inspire the struggling ones with hope that they CAN succeed!

She could be a wife and mother...

She's a beautiful girl...

With a promising future possible...

Only she lacks the support and opportunity!

Without a mother to guide her into young womanhood...

Without a father to protect her...

Without support and encouragement and guidance how can she make it?

At her age orphans are often turned out on the street with few possessions and very little money and are left to fend for themselves.

The small amount of money can't last long...

They are ill-equipped to get a job...

They are so young and inexperienced...

The fact that they are labeled as "orphans" makes them undesirable to most...

Getting a decent job under these circumstances is sooo difficult!

Can you imagine this lovely girl...

Scrounging through the garbage for a bite to eat...

Or sleeping in a gutter?

With no place to stay and no food to eat young girls often must turn to prostitution to survive...

What a horrible reality!

It just cannot be!

It is unacceptable!

But it is all to often the reality!

I pray this has not yet happened to Karen!

Normally a girl Karen's age would be out of luck...

At 16 She would be too old too be adopted...

But because she has a younger sister who is available for adoption...

10 year old Chrystyna...

There is hope!

Karen has the opportunity to be adopted...

But ONLY if she is adopted WITH her sister!

Chrystyna has some developmental delays...

But thankfully she has been transferred OUT of a bad institution to a much better facility...

The new facility has been so much better for her and her development!

Now if she could just have a family of her own...

To maximize her potential...

What a blessing that would be for her!

Here is another picture of Chrystyna...

She needs a Mom and Dad to give her the love she's been waiting for!

*****

Two lovely girls in need of love and family...

Guidance and encouragement...

Hope for now and for the future...

Please consider Karen and Chrystyna!

You can help them by:

Prayer...

Sharing their need with others...

(Because of her age Karen does not have a fund, but Chrystyna's fund could be used for both girls.)

And prayerfully considering whether you could be their family!

To read more about  Karen  and Chrystyna click on their names...

Karen's need is great...

Save her from the horrors of life on the street!

Before it's too late...

Please help!

Until they find a family...

No post is complete without "my" kids...

They are still waiting for the love of a family...

Can you help them too?

The Little Boy Inside

I am unique and special...

A blessing all but lost because...

Most take one look and turn away!

They figure I'm no good at all...

Because I'm not the same as other kids...

(If sameness comes from looks...)

But truth be told inside of me is just a little boy!

A little boy who'd love to play with trucks and cars...

Or swing and slide at the neighborhood park...

Or build sand castles at the beach!

A little boy who'd love to listen to stories on Daddy's lap...

Or rock with Mama when he's sleepy!

Oh if only folks could see that outside "looks" and first impressions...

Are NOT the most important things!

The things that count are deep inside...

The outside's just the cover...

That holds the little boy inside!

*****

Inside of me is a little boy with potential to grow and learn...

And a heart that can feel the scornful looks of folks who don't understand his worth...

A heart that hurts when no one cares...

A heart where loneliness can live...

When no one understands!

This little boy could also feel the love of someone special...

The love of a Mama and Daddy who have the most important things inside of them...

A heart that's kind...

A heart that loves...

A heart that understands and sees...

The special little boy inside!

I'm a prize that's waiting to be won...

By one who'll look beyond a first impression...

And see the sweet little boy inside!

Please don't miss the prize!

Are you my Mom or Dad?
