She's BACK!!!

Do you remember this picture?

The red checkered dress...

The big white bow...

And the sad face?

Elizaveta has recently been re-listed with Reece's Rainbow!

She's available for adoption again!

Unfortunately she doesn't look any happier in her new picture...

But don't let her frown scare you away!

She is reported to be happy, independent, social and smart...

She participates in school, and tries to do her best...

She cooperates with adults and gets along well with kids...

She doesn't let her arthrogryposis (stiff joints) prevent her from being as independent as she can be!

She is waiting for a Mom and Dad to call her own!

Don't let her frown scare you...

Maybe she's too shy to share a smile on camera!

Or maybe she's just too sad because she fears no one will ever come for her...

After all...

She's been waiting 10 years...

Why should she think a picture will make a difference?

Don't let her fear come true!

She will make a wonderful daughter to the lucky family who chooses her!

Is there any way you can help her today?

Pray, Donate, Share, Adopt...

You CAN make a difference for Elizaveta!

Let's put a smile on her face!

Ear Splitting Grin!

Sad little face...

Transferred...

Will he ever smile again?

Is it even possible?

YES!

Check out the NEW picture!

How's that for a smile?

An ear splitting GRIN!

Even though he has been transferred to an institution...

Brent has been blessed to have a nanny who gives him individual attention!

I wonder if that's what made him smile?

Maybe he sees her coming!

Just imagine his grin when he gets to know his very own Mama!

Imagine having that brilliant smile directed your way!

Are you his Mama?

By the way he has over $10,000 in his grant fund just waiting to help you bring him home!

Update on Silas!

Silas' profile has just been updated!

New picture!

And GOOD news!

Silas has NOT been transferred YET!

(We thought he had been.)

What's more he is 4 years old (not 7)!

He will be transferred within a year so we need to find his family soon...

We need to save him from being bedridden for life!

But it is absolutely wonderful to know he is still at the baby house!

And the fact that he is still young increases his hope for a family!

To read more about Silas click here!

Please share his story and picture!

And don't forget his giveaway ending May 1!

(His grant is still at $184 - It needs to grow!)

DUPED!

I think I was duped by the scary words...

I misjudged her when I read them...

The scary words...

Words of cognitive regression...

Because she has been neglected in a mental institute...

Difficult conditions...

Not a very promising case...

I wrote her off...

BUT...

She does have a big smile...

She is even waving...

And since I'm advocating for the children of orphanage one...

I thought I might include her in this post...

So I began reading her post a bit more closely...

Lauren is a super-sweet and active little girl.

She is very social and affectionate,

and will do well in a family setting.

Now those are nice words!

Sounds like wonderful daughter material...

Don't you think?

But surely she must have some difficult problem...

Or she wouldn't be in that awful place, right?

What is her diagnosis?

achondroplasia

What's that?

First what it is NOT...

Acondroplasia is NOT a mental condition...

It is a condition that will cause her to have short stature!

How would you like to be sentenced to a mental institution for life because you were short?

How would you like to be isolated from society...

Neglected...

Kept out of school...

Denied the opportunity to have a Mom and Dad...

Just because you would be shorter than most people?

Acondroplasia is not that scary...

It should NOT sentence a child to life in a mental institution!

There is hope for Lauren!

If someone will choose her...

Rescue her...

Make her their child...

And give her the love and opportunity she needs to grow and flourish!

Yes the institutional life has hindered her development...

But the power of love is amazing!

She is just waiting to blossom!

She's already smiling and waving!

Imagine the radiance when she receives the love of a family!

She'll be beaming!

Are you her hope?

Her hope for life and love outside the institution?

Hope for a Mom and Dad of her very own?

Is your home missing a little ray of sunshine?

Lauren's smile is waiting to brighten you life!

Please give her a chance!

To read more about Lauren or donate to her grant fund click here!

Even if you are not her Mama...

Please consider sharing her story with others...

Maybe there are other folk like me who saw the scary words and turned away without giving sweet Lauren a chance...

Maybe your words will make a difference!

Don't be duped by the scary words...

Lauren is a princess...

A precious child of God...

She needs a voice...

Can she have yours?

Good News for Carissa!

Remember Carissa?

I shared her sad story in this post.

This lovely girl became blind as a result of premature birth and insufficient care...

She was taken home from the orphanage by her aunt...

But then returned to the orphanage after some time...

Her twin sister was adopted without her...

And dear Carissa nearly died of depression and grief...

She became like skin and bones...

Thankfully she was taken to a hospital and her condition has improved...

But what she really needs is a family!

Her profile says she used to walk and sing before going to the internat...

If she could have a family and receive the love and care she needs...

Perhaps she will have the heart to sing again!

*****

Here is her new recent picture...

She looks lonely don't you think?

More grown up...

Almost 10 years old...

Where is her family?

*****

So what's the good news you ask?

Despite her sad situation...

There is a glimmer of hope!

I just learned that she now has her OWN grant fund!

There's not much in it yet...

But at least she now has a chance for a grant...

To help give a Mama and Papa the courage and ability to adopt her!

We have the opportunity to make it grow!

Can you help by donating or spreading the word?

She desperately needs a family!

To put a smile on her face and hope in her heart!

Please help if you can!

No Heart to Smile :(

Haunted...

Hopeless eyes...

They'll never want me!

I have CP...

I can use my hands pretty well...

But that's not enough to convince them...

Why would anyone want a boy who can't walk?

But scariest of all are the frightening words...

That I have regressed because of where I live...

You see,

I've been sentenced to a mental institute for life...

Because of my CP....

How could I not regress?

With nothing to do...

With nothing to listen to but moans and groans...

Nothing to see but the bare walls and the sad and hopeless faces of my fellow inmates?

My only hope is that someone will somehow see past the scary words...

To the real little boy inside!

See past the haunted hopeless eyes...

To the sparkle that will appear if I get a Daddy to wrestle and play tag with...

See past my vacant look...

To the joy that will burst out...

If you help me fly a kite...

Or take me to the zoo!

I don't need fancy expensive toys...

A mansion house...

Or designer clothes!

My Papa need not be famous...

My Mama need not win a pageant...

All I need is a Mama and Papa who have the most important and most beautiful thing...

LOVE for even ME!

Simple toys will thrill my heart!

A walk in the woods...

A trip to the playground...

A little toy truck and a sandbox...

Right now I hardly dare hope that these things joys could ever be mine...

So I haven't the heart to smile...

After 9 long years of waiting for a Mama and Papa...

I've nearly given up hope that anyone will EVER choose ME...

But please, oh PLEASE look past my somber face!

I think if I could know at last...

That I'm am truly loved...

That there is for even me...

A Mom and Dad to call my own...

Who'll love me just the way I am...

And give me hope and courage to grow and learn...

A smile would burst upon my face...

I'd grow, and bloom, and make you proud...

And grin from ear to ear!

Please...

Won't you put a smile on my face and hope in my eyes?

Are you MY Mom or Dad?

He has a story to tell you...

A lifetime of joy to bring you...

Is he YOUR son?
